    SUMMER CAMP – CULINARY TECHNIQUES – 7/7 – 7/11 (ages 8 – 14)

    This camp will teach kids culinary techniques like sauteeing, sauce making, pasta making, and some baking basics. Structured like a mini culinary school, chefs will be in charge of their station and come away with a new understanding of how a kitchen runs. Kids will make 4-5 dishes each day including snack and dessert.  Kids will cook for the majority of the day with breaks outside for snack and lunch. Class will run July 7th-11th from 10 am to 3 pm daily. We'll have flexible drop off and pickup to extend the day from 9:45-3:15pm if needed. All food is included. Camps are nut-free. **If you're signing up more than one child, please sign them up separately.     During this week’s series, kids will be able to flex their creative muscle in the kitchen by playing cooking games like Chopped, Iron Chef and Top Chef favorites. We'll do one smaller competition in the morning for their snack and a larger competition in the afternoon for lunch.  At the end of the week, they will be able to make a dish of their choice that represents their new found creative ability in the kitchen.  They will work in groups for all competitions. Kids will cook for the majority of the day with breaks outside for snack and lunch. Classes will run daily from July 14th-18th. We'll have flexible drop off and pickup to extend the day from 9:45-3:15pm if needed. All food is included. Camps are nut-free. Previous cooking experience is helpful but not needed. We'll discuss all the culinary basics and safety before each challenge. **If you're signing up more than one child, please sign them up separately.     Calling all bakers! In this camp, kids will learn new baking skills and techniques every day. While the focus is on baking, each day we will make lunch to go along with our baked goods. At the end of the week, the kids will make and decorate a mini cake to take home.  Kids will cook and bake for the majority of the day with breaks outside for snack and lunch. Class will run July 21st-25th from 10 am to 3 pm daily. We'll have flexible drop off and pickup to extend the day from 9:45-3:15pm if needed. All food is included.     Cupcake Wars. Nailed It!. Top Pastry Chef. Is it Cake?. Has your mini pastry chef always wanted to compete on these shows? Every day we will have 2 friendly baking competitions along with making lunch each day.  Kids will cook and bake for the majority of the day with breaks outside for snack and lunch. Previous experience baking is helpful but not a requirement.  We'll be going over all baking basics before the competitions start.  Kids will work in groups. Class will run July 28th-August 1st from 10 am to 3 pm daily.  We'll have flexible drop off and pickup to extend the day from 9:45-3:15pm if needed. All food is included.
