Overview:
Join us as each week we tour a new North American city or state and cook and taste their native foods. We'll make it to Oaxaca, Mexico for some grilled flank steak tasajo, enjoy some green onion cakes from British Columbia, and try our hand at making fried chicken from Kentucky. Kids will learn how to work in the kitchen and come out of these weeks with stronger knife skills, cooking techniques, and some baking basics. Kids will prepare a meal each class and have dinner together. Class is drop off.
DATES: Mondays (3:45 - 5:30 pm), November 2nd, 9th, 16th
Here are some of the COVID precautions we’re taking in the space:
– Class sizes of 10 (max) with 2 instructors per space
– Social distancing whenever possible
– Masks worn indoors (can be provided) and gloves worn when necessary
– Frequent and regular handwashing with hand sanitizer prevalent in the space
– Temperature checks before entering the space
– Outside only drop off & pickup: Only students allowed inside
– Eating outside, (weather dependent)
