FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our classes can be booked through our website, hudsontable.com. Under “schedule a class”, you will be able to browse through our calendar of classes and select the one that best suits you.

Unless otherwise noted our class price is per person.

We advise that you dress comfortably since you’ll be standing most of the time and actively preparing your meals. Avoid wearing loose clothes as you’ll be operating near an open flame.

If you booked a hands-on class or a one-dish workshop, then yes! You will be divided into groups of four, each assigned to a fully loaded cooking station. Each group gets to prepare each meal from scratch with the assistance and direction of the head instructor. Unlike other classes you may have taken, each group makes the same dishes – you won’t be split off with pieces of the menu.

Hands-on and one-dish workshop classes have a max of 16 students per class.  Each class will be broken up into groups of 2, 3, 4 or 5 depending on the groups attending.  We limit our parties to parties of 8.  This is to ensure that a party of 12 or 14, for example doesn’t join a class with a random couple as this would be unfair to our other guests.  For a party of 9 or more people please email us to book a private event which is always a blast!  We pride ourselves on bringing groups of people together through food and cooking!

Yes. You’ll get a hard copy during the class and an e-mailed version shortly thereafter.

There are multiple options. Street parking is easier to find in this part of town. Alternatively, you can park in the Hudson Tea parking garage located at 1450 Bloomfield Street or Little Man Parking at 1301 Jefferson Street. Both are 3-4 blocks and a 5 minute walk to Hudson Table.

We do offer kids classes as well as kid’s birthday parties.  For more information please email kidclasses@hudsontable.com.

We currently have a partnership with Give Peas a Chance, a local business in town that teaches moms how to make healthy, organic meals from scratch. Classes currently run every other Monday evening and can be booked through our link on our website.

All of our sales are final due to the limited seating of our events as well as the amount of prep time and scheduling that go into the creation of our classes.  While we don’t offer refunds or transfers, you will have the opportunity to send a friend in your place. We ask that you please just email us in advance so that we can be prepared.

We pride ourselves in hosting a variety of classes that can accommodate everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions but sometimes changing a menu item may affect the fluidity of the class.  Please notify us of any allergies you may have and we will do our best to accommodate you by modifying some of the ingredients if possible.  Changes to the ingredients are more likely possible if you are attending with a larger group of 4 or 5 that would all be at the same table.
